Sophia Durone
Sophia brings a change-driven mindset and a passion for natural carbon removal solutions to the climate sphere. Her interests and experiences lie both in the climate mitigation and environmental justice spaces. As a researcher at Black Rock Forest Research Consortium, she developed an allometric equation to estimate the carbon removal capacity of sugar maple trees. Sophia also worked alongside WE ACT For Environmental Justice in a project that mapped inequity within New York City’s power grid. She holds a BA in Environmental Science and Sustainability with a minor in Sociology from Barnard College. Outside of work, Sophia enjoys baking, going on hikes, and attending concerts.
Combatting the climate crisis calls for all hands on deck. At Arch Street Communications, I am thrilled to contribute to this cause with science-based approaches to public engagement and messaging."
