Julia Ross

Account Coordinator

Julia is passionate about helping shape communities and the built environment through climate initiatives that are equitable, accessible, and long-lasting. Her background in urban studies, sociology, policy research, and journalism has given her a people-first approach. That perspective informs her work in strategic communications, public engagement, and government relations.

Julia’s notable experiences include:

• Helped develop policy reports and proposals on expanding green jobs programs and protecting natural areas at the Center for an Urban Future, an urban policy think tank.

• Contributed to the Atlas of Public Power, an independent research project exploring the potential of a public power energy system.

• Drafted memos, press releases, and quotes as a member of the Communications team at the NYC Department of Housing Preservation and Development.

Julia is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. She graduated from Barnard College with a BA in Urban Studies and Sociology and a minor in Architecture. In her free time, Julia enjoys playing tennis, using her AMC A-List Pass to watch new movies, and visiting new coffee shops and restaurants.
